Job Description

The Granite YMCA is seeking a dynamic and adaptable Facilities Director to oversee the maintenance, cleanliness, and operations of our two YMCA of Concord buildings. This leadership role ensures the functionality, safety, and efficiency of our facilities through preventative maintenance, emergency response, and strategic upkeep planning.

Qualifications

Associate’s Degree or higher in a related field OR equivalent experience

2+ years of supervisory experience in a facilities or maintenance setting

3+ years of experience in facility maintenance, with proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems

Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification within 6 months of employment

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills

Essential Functions

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the maintenance and custodial teams, ensuring comprehensive coverage of building and grounds’ needs

Recruit, hire, onboard, and train department employees to build a strong, efficient team

Ensure work areas are clean, safe, and hazard-free at all times

Oversee contractor services, ensuring all work meets agreements, warranties, and quality standards

Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs to extend the life of building systems and reduce energy costs

Manage HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, ensuring optimal performance

Assist in budget development and monitoring for all facility-related expenses

Maintain an appropriate inventory of tools and equipment, ensuring quality control
